The Big Switch of '09 took place this week. I've been stressing for months now about moving Kylie to her big girl room/bed. I was hoping to see a sign that she was ready to be evicted from the crib, but didn't get any. She was so content in that thing, despite running out of room, and was still sleeping 12+ hours at night and taking a good 2-3 hour nap everyday. Obviously, we didn't want to mess up a good thing... and this was a really good thing!
However, we decided that the time had come. Her big girl room has been ready for about 2 months and the baby will be here in 10 weeks!
So, Thursday was her last nap in the crib :(
And, the new room instantly went from a playing/reading room to a sleeping room...
We hesitantly put her in there Thurs. night, following the same nighttime routine. And, thankfully, she slept a solid 12 hours!!! We were so thrilled!
It's been 3 nights and still, so far so good. I'm a little afraid to blog about it, fearing that I may jinx us. :) Let's hope not.
See...Looks like you were worried about nothing! :) I love Kylie's new "Big girl" room! It's so cute! They grow so fast, I can't believe Andie is going to be THREE in 1 Month!!! Hard to believe. Can't wait to see the new room for your little boy :)
ReplyDeleteok so I looked at the pictures of the new room for like five minutes before I noticed that cute pair of LEGS on the bed. What a big girl you have!
ReplyDeleteYay for Kylie! Her room is adorable! Rileigh has the same curtains in her room (and pink walls, too!). Where did you buy her bedroom set? I ordered Brenden's last month and it should be here in about a week! Can't wait!
