1st time swinger.

We took advantage of a beautiful evening last week to go to the park. Gavin got to experience the swings for the first time. And he was a fan!

The first time Kylie got to swing at the park was when she was 6 months old, too.
She was just as excited. And just as cute!
Where does the time go? *sigh*

Future CEO?...

Or Chippendale's dancer... HA :)
I hate to say it, but he seems to resemble Farley in the photo, rather than Swayze.

Fall Farm Fun.

This past weekend we decided to venture out and do something fall-related despite the cold temps. Last year, we went to Mapleside Farms and had a good time, but this year decided to go somewhere new. We settled on Maize Valley in Hartville. Ky had a really good time... she loves doing new things and seeing new sights.

The bundled up kiddos...

Checking out the farm animals... donkey and goats...

Feeding a sheep...

Checking out the chicks...
Riding this red car-thingy...

Meanwhile, Gav just chilled in the stroller... such a trooper, even though it was COOOLLDD!
Getting ready for the animal train ride... she chose the pink pig car.

She really enjoyed the hay bales and rolling around in the hay...

Gav not so much...

Running through the tunnels was fun too... and she informed me this morning that she "wasn't scared of the black fings in the hay... it was ok."

This little goat liked Kylie... and Ky loved this goat... "ohhhh he's sooo cute!!"

Next, (and this was my favorite part), we hit up the market for some hot, homemade donuts (YUMMO!) and bought a warm apple pie and some apple butter!

One last shot before heading home... couldn't resist this photo-op- the "How Tall This Fall" sign:

Evening Play.

Kylie discovered her love for softball this summer, thanks to her Dora bat and ball. Many evenings this summer were spent like this...

The girl has quite a swing!
And arm...
Another favorite activity, Hopscotch!

Gavin spent many summer evenings outside like this, just observing and taking it all in... next summer, will be a whole 'nother story!

Pumpkin pickin'

I take a lot of pictures. It's true. And sometimes I get ahead of myself and edit/post photos out of order... and then forget to get back to the older ones.
I was just cleaning up my folders of pictures... trying to purge any that I don't need to free up space on my poor computer that is so full of photos... and came across a lot that I never shared.
These were taken last month (Labor Day weekend, I think ??) at Tim & Pat's. We got into the spirit of Fall by picking out our pumpkins from Grandma Pat and Grandpa Tim's pumpkin patch.
Ky claiming this big pumpkin...
And Gav liked this one...

Me and my girl with our little pumpkins. There's something about little pumpkins that I just LOVE!

The personality.

I love this age. Gavin is really starting to get a personality and it is so fun!
He is such a happy little dude.
And did I mention, CUTE, too!! I'm slightly biased, but, this little face just makes me melt into a puddle. Love him so much.
As I've mentioned before, he gets SO excited whenever Kylie is around... although you wouldn't know it by looking at him...

HA! His expressions crack me up! He wouldn't be able to open his mouth any wider if he tried. This is what he always looks like when his eyes are on her.
