Reindeer Feet.

Just want to share a cute little Christmas project that I found online. If you have kids, you need to do this!
We made our little reindeer canvas a couple weeks ago and I LOVE how it turned out!!
Obviously, big foot=Kylie and less big (because sadly, that foot can't be called small anymore)= Gavin. The red noses are their thumbprints.
We painted their feet and thumbs and stamped them right on the canvas. Then Matt drew on some antlers and we glued on eyes. We also glued a ribbon around the edges of the canvas.
Can't wait to pull this out every year!

Message from the North Pole.

Kylie was amazed by this! And, a little shy, at first, when she realized that Santa was really talking to her!

My camera likes him.

Lots of photos of Gavie lately... blame it on my camera. He is at such a perfect age to photograph... big, bright eyes, the ability to sit and smile but can't yet crawl and get away from me. Perfect combo.
Carmen's pretty photogenic, too, for a 4 year old pooch.

Gavin is finally starting to take notice of the dog, typically in the form of a giant grasp/squeeze... we're working on the whole petting thing. Thank goodness we have a pretty laid-back dog. Plus, I think she likes the extra attention.
Mr. Smily McSmileson...
Hammin' it up, as usual.
And a serious pose for good measure.
He is getting mighty close to getting up on all fours. The fact that he can't quite master it yet frustrates him to no end.
Working on his push-ups so he can be a part of the "family push-up challenge" that inevitably happens when all of the guys get together.
I LOVE this next photo. Such a happy guy just hanging out with his old man.

My 3 faves...
And, just one of my little sweet thing who seems to be avoiding my camera a lot lately. She is much too busy to sit and smile. When you are 3, there are endless things to see and do.

My 8 month old.

Need to find a way to slow time down.... asap. I refuse to accept the fact that my little guy is 2/3's of the way to 1 year. It's just not right.
(Decided he looked cuter in the buff!)

Santa's Mailbox.

The other night we sat down and wrote a letter to Santa, then bundled the kids up and loaded them into the car for a short drive to Santa's Mailbox. Kylie was very excited to mail her letter to Santa... and a little curious, too!
It was so cute to see her excitement. And it was nice to find out that what she really wants for Christmas is a red bear and a white doggie and little animals. Huh? I guess Santa better get on that. :)

Stop the Presses!

It's December 10th. Gavin is 8 months and 4 days old. This is the first time he has seen snow!
I set him in his high chair this morning for breakfast and when I opened the curtains on the sliding door, he FROZE! He stayed just like this for at least 2 minutes! It was so funny.... I would love to know what he was thinking. "What in the world is falling from the sky????"

"Oh well, LET'S EAT!!" (He was very excited about the new item on the menu this week... yogurt! The boy loves yogurt!)

It's beginning to look a lot like...

Christmas!!!
This year we put a live tree in our family room and have the artificial tree set up in the basement.
Two trees mean lots of help by two cute little elves.

This little elf LOVES the Christmas trees... and lights!

Kylie loves candy canes... little brother is jealous that he can't have one, too.

He is amazed by the tree and the second you set him down on the floor he does a non-stop, continuous roll to get under the tree where he proceeds to pull on the branches or kick them and watch the needles fall off.

Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving was wonderful. Great family and great food. Lots to be thankful for.
This is one of the many things....

Love that my kids have great grandparents, just as I did (still do!) growing up!
Gavin and his great grandpa Sam
He was extremely curious about gramps' mustache! And considering that Gav is right in the middle of the stranger anxiety phase, I'm just glad that he seemed to enjoy the moment as much as I did watching it!

This is the only photo of my fam that I took. Too busy stuffing my face, apparently.
I love that Kylie is still munching on some turkey! Leading up to Thanksgiving, we kept mentioning all of the turkey we were going to eat... I don't think Kylie was real fond of the idea, she kept saying, "we don't eat turkey!" Well, sure enough, it only took one bite and she quickly changed her attitude. "Mmmm we do eat turkey!"

Ten on Tuesday: iPhone edition

I was flipping through my iPhone pics today... all 365 of them... and realized that I needed to dedicate a blog post to some of these photos. So here we go...

1. Ky and Gav clowning around. Kylie found the box of left-over clown noses from her carnival party and so we all (including "mommy horse") had to wear clown noses that morning.
2. The kiddos lounging in mommy and daddy's bed one morning. Check out the clock in the background, 8:26 am... must have been a good sleep-in morning! Love that!

3. Just a cute little bum. Gavin pre-bath.
4. Gavin chillin' in his stroller at the park. He loves being outside all bundled up.
5. Ky and Matt looking cute at the park.
6. My cuties... and don't they look a lot alike in this photo?!
7. Kylie and Matt riding the carousel at the mall. She could do this all day, everyday! The girl loves the carousel. We are anxiously awaiting the debut of the Akron Zoo's carousel this summer.
8. An oldie (from Sept.) but a GOODIE! Kylie sporting a wig at the party store. I think I enjoyed it more than she did.
9. Matt and I after our legs of the Akron Marathon Relay in September. Ok, so I look like a 10 year old boy... that's ok because I am alive and that's all that matters! Such an accomplishment for a non-runner like me!
10. Kylie eating lunch with her posse. She is in the animal-loving phase. She has a TON of these little animals, big and small, all over the house. She sleeps with them, eats with them, they go to target with us. Her favorite toys at this time.
And one more bonus one just because they are so cute!
