Christmas- Part 2: Santa Edition

Santa came!! We must have had some good kiddies this year!

Our fam on Christmas Day.

Christmas- Part 1.

We celebrated Christmas with Grandma Pat and Grandpa Tim a few days before Christmas. It was definitely fun for Kylie (and all of us) to kick off the festivities early.

She was thrilled to walk into their house and see their big, beautiful tree with lots of ornaments and colorful lights! Oh, and the giant pile of gifts under the tree was quite intriguing, as well!

She was so sweet with her baby brother. She opened his gifts for him and then would tell him what they were.

And a fun block that makes noise when he shakes it! This made him very excited!

But not as excited as the box made him! That was one neato box!

The kids at home, posing with all of their gifts from grandma and grandpa. And thanks to the basement, daddy is able to look at this picture without getting a nervous twitch! It was the post-Christmas toy pile last year that kicked him into basement-construction gear!

Sugar Overload.

We are trying to awaken from our cookie coma. Lots of sweets in the last week.

Kylie helped me with some cookie baking before Christmas. She's a natural in the kitchen.... she has some good genes thanks to her masterful bakers as grandmas.

Christmas.

I've taken a blogging hiatus for the last week or so. We've been very busy... lots of fun, family, food- all of our favorite things! It was a wonderful Christmas. It's so amazing to experience all of it with two wonderful kiddos and the best family. We are truly blessed.

However, it is a little depressing to know that it is over... but I will be re-living some of the fun through our photos.

I'll start with these... taken before Christmas.

Reindeer Feet.

Just want to share a cute little Christmas project that I found online. If you have kids, you need to do this!

We made our little reindeer canvas a couple weeks ago and I LOVE how it turned out!!

Obviously, big foot=Kylie and less big (because sadly, that foot can't be called small anymore)= Gavin. The red noses are their thumbprints.

We painted their feet and thumbs and stamped them right on the canvas. Then Matt drew on some antlers and we glued on eyes. We also glued a ribbon around the edges of the canvas.

Can't wait to pull this out every year!

It would look nice with a big red bow!
