Biking and Puddle-Jumping.

I don't think I've posted any photos of Kylie and her new bike yet, so I figured I should probably do that. She's been 2-wheeling (plus training wheels) for about a month now and has taken to it like an old pro. I think she's a chip off the old block (I'll be posting about Matt's cycling escapades soon). She LOVES riding her bike! And she loves that it is "purplish-pink"!

Next up: Puddle-jumping.
The #1 rule in puddle-jumping: Always, always wear your bike helmet. It's a very dangerous activity.

And, a couple of G-man doing what he does best: spectating.
Soon enough, my little man, your time will come. Until then, sit there and look cute!

Zoo continued.

Kylie loved watching the penguins get their dinner! (Mom, here are your penguin pics ;))

I love this next photo. What are they looking at??
This fella!! This big guy came over to the fence and perched up here to stare at us. He actually was posing for my camera. No joke. He would put his hand under his chin and turn his head to the side. So funny!

He is sticking his tongue out in this pic... :)
This is the oldest known living gorilla in the country. She is 56 years old. She just had a physical and besides a little arthritis, is very healthy! She was eating popcorn and romaine lettuce (Ky thought that was funny!).
And our last stop before leaving the zoo HAD to be the carousel! Carousels are one of Kylie's most favorite things in life! We cannot wait for the carousel to open at the Akron Zoo at the end of July!!

I love this picture!
She was so excited to smile and wave at Gavin every time she came around to our side!

Columbus Zoo.

Disclaimer: This post is ridiculously long. It's a big, fun zoo that requires a lot of photo-taking!

Last week we took a visit to Columbus. Matt had meetings for work, so the kids and I took this as an opportunity to visit Sara and hang out in C'bus for a few days.
The zoo was a necessary stop!

Kylie was so excited! Here she is waiting on daddy to get tickets.
It was a little chilly which was ideal for seeing all of the animals. They were all awake and roaming around.
The grizzly was huge. He and Ky were having a stare-down.

We strolled onto a family of geese...
She was amazed by the elephants.
Gav was pretty interested, too.

This tiger was great. He paced along the window over and over again.

Notice the little boy in the bottom right corner.... he was hilarious! He was running along the window taking pictures and roaring at the tiger!
Once again, Gav was only slightly amused. (I should add this was his naptime.)

The lion was roaring like crazy... SO loudly! Another awesome memory for Ky.

The touch pool... getting to touch some starfish and crabs.

Aunt Sara showing Gav some fish....

We knew we had to leave lots of time for the aquarium as Kylie is so incredibly interested in ocean animals. Needless to say, it did not disappoint!

And, finally, time for the manatees!! She even brought her stuffed manatee with her to the zoo, so when we found out that there were 3 baby manatees we were stoked!
I love this shot!
This is one of the babies...

This is "Stubby"... he was rescued after a propeller accident that clipped his tail... hence the name.
To be continued...
