Kylie Overload.

I finally had some uninterrupted camera time with Kylie a couple days ago. She was very excited to have a "photo shoot", especially sine she has watched me taking other little kids' photos lately, until we got outside and she realized the geese were out on the pond. Then, she wanted nothing to do with me, or the camera.

However, I did manage to get some eye contact and some Kylie smiles and giggles. These pics truly capture her essence at this age. Such a goofy little thing!

Getting up close and personal with the ground. This is her new thing this summer... she LOVES playing in the dirt... collecting rocks, sticks, bugs, worms, etc.! I think it might have something to do with hanging out with the little neighbor boys and this is what they do. Monkey see, monkey do.

Photo Fun

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of photographing adorable little Aidan. He just turned 2 and is so cute and fun. And FAST!!

Kylie enjoyed the company, as well. Someone to smell flowers with...

... and to hug. Or not.

This was the mutual reaction when we told them to hug. :)

2 months.

It's so hard to believe, but little man is already 2 months old! 

He is actually 9 weeks old today and it seems like just yesterday that we brought him home from the hospital. He has been smiling for weeks now, but they are becoming more and more frequent, and he has started squealing/giggling!

It makes me happy that Ky loves her little brother so much. Totally unconditionally. She is the best.

Sleeping babies make me happy, too. Especially one that does a pretty great job sleeping right in the middle of this chaotic house with a loud and energetic toddler and a hyper dog.

Little baby feet make me really happy and I love that we get to see them all the time thanks to the warm weather. Kylie's little tootsies were always in socks when she was a baby due to the season.

And this photo of our family of 4 makes me super happy! It is, surprisingly, our first as a family of four. For whatever reason, we just never got all together on this side of the camera until now.  It was seriously stressing me out that we didn't have a family photo yet and Gavin is almost 2 months old. But, now we do, and I love it!

Summertime makes me ridiculously happy. Kylie loves being outside and I love the way she naps/sleeps after being outside! She has totally mastered the tricycle this Spring (she wasn't about to let all of the other neighborhood kids ride around on their bikes without her) and loves pedaling around the sidewalks and road!

Little dude is starting to lose his "newborn look" and is starting to look like a baby. I'm sad to see the newborn stage go (although I am pleased to welcome this new, happier demeanor), but at the same time, I love seeing his new personality emerge. He LOVES to be talked to and held and loved on... which is a good thing because I'm afraid Kylie was going to give him all of those things regardless!
